In the early conception stages of Toptable Group’s newest Vancouver restaurant, Elisa had the preliminary name of ‘Aberdeen’. The website was one of the first identity pieces to be created, and although the restaurant name eventually changed, the web design stayed. This luxury Yaletown restaurant takes a noticeably contemporary approach in aesthetic in comparison to Toptable’s other locations. It was important that the website reflected this young, hip and modern feel. Through the combination of serif and sans serif typefaces, a classic steakhouse meets trendy eatery. The layout takes a more edgy approach with a burger navigation which slides out from the right side of the screen — a fresh take on a basic navigation system.
